TylerAlert is an electronic system through JTCC that will alert students, staff, parents, and anyone registered in the system about emergency situations and school closings once they are decided. It is easier than waiting for the local news.
Registered participants are contacted through all registered devices, such as email, text message, smartphones, or pagers.

For the parking lot, there are security call boxes if there is an emergency.

<h3>Evacuations</h3>If you have to evacuate the building for any reason you should know the following information:

On the first day of each class, this information should be in the instructor's syllabus. There should also be an evacuation route on the wall, in each classroom, by the door.
